Jack Aces P-51 Demonstration Team

Experiencing three P-51 Mustangs going through an aerobatic sequence in tight formation is a rare thing to see at an air show, but “Mad Max,” “The Little Witch” and “Miss Kandy” will do just that at the Golden Isles Air Show! Attendees will get to see an incredible mix of amazing aerobatics, including loops, aileron rolls, barrel rolls, slot rolls, slot loops, slot passes and banana passes.

LOUIS HORSCHEL: Born and raised in Western New York, Louis started flying with his father in his family’s Citabria and 182. Louis has since amassed more than 5,000 hours, and currently flies a Scout Bushplane, several antique Waco biplanes, a 182, a 206, an Xtreme Decathalon, a Beaver, a Bell helicopter, and other Warbirds. Louis serves as a pilot for the Navy Legacy Team. He flies the Corsair at air shows, leading formation flights with F18s and the F35C.

ARIEL LUEDI: Ariel lives in Switzerland and commutes to the U.S. for trainings and air shows. He worked as a skydive instructor for many years, but later developed a taste for flying. It all started in 2008 with the purchase of a Bucker Jungmann biplane from the 1930s. He later acquired a Sukhoi 29 & 26 and won the 2012 Swiss Aerobatic Nationals in the advanced category. Over the years, he added a Bucker Jungmeister, an L-39C, Lockheed Electra 12A, and a Pilatus PC-7 to his collection of planes. He is also a part of the Swiss-based three ship team, SUBITO, that all fly the Pilatus PC-7.

MARCO RUSCONI: This is the newest member to the team. Marco grew up in Italy and learned how to fly at an early age in a Tiger Moth biplane. He finished his schooling on Canada’s west coast, and enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1997. He graduated from Royal Military College in 2001, and earned his RCAF pilot wings in 2004. In 2007, Marco was selected to be a part of Canada’s aerial demonstration squadron, the Snowbirds, and stayed with them until 2011. He currently serves as a production test pilot for a major aircraft manufacturer. In 2017, Marco joined the Stallion 51 Team as an instructor and has been flying with Ariel and Louis ever since.
